Tutor Marina Collott sits with a child, supporting them through their learning struggles.

Finding the right tutor for your child is crucial to your child’s learning success.

Tailored to your child’s individual needs:

I can assess the gaps in your child’s learning and offer a specifically tailored structured literacy programme to close those gaps, and at the same time, building confidence in their learning.

Focused learning style:

I specialise in working at a pace that suits your child and that they are comfortable with. In addition to this, I will be mindful of the way your child learns best and take this into account in our sessions together to help your child feel supported. Children are then able to reach a point where they feel comfortable completing school tasks, that once may have seemed daunting.

Targeted learning:

I use an instructional approach that is structured, systematic, cumulative, flexible and diagnostic, incorporating a multisensory approach, which enhances learning.

Communication:

I believe that clear communication is important and providing feedback on your child’s learning is invaluable. Where possible, I will work with your child’s teacher to ensure that the best learning outcomes are achieved.

Knowledge and progress:

As a parent, you want to know how your child is progressing.  I monitor students regularly to ensure that progress is being made, and am more than happy to talk with you about your child’s learning and answer any questions that you may have.

Note:

I prefer to work in the Northern Suburbs and surrounds, from my home, or at schools, if the school is agreeable and can accommodate this.

Charges:

Payment is by term at a charge of $85.00 per week per, for a one hour session

$10.00 charge each term for stationery and supplies is added to the term charges

$5.00 per session travel fee is added if I am travelling to a school for tutoring sessions.

Please call or email me to discuss how I can help your child to be the best possible learner they can be.
